At the Brooklyn Museum: Target First Saturdays, thousands of visitors enjoy FREE programs of art and entertainment each month from 5 to 11 p.m.

This Saturday, April 2nd, the following programs are available: Music by the Fat Cat Jazz Club (Afro-Latin Jazz); Watch the film, Wuthering Heights; Performance by Beat Boxer, Kenny Muhammad and Cocoro Strings who put a new, percussive twist on classical music; Hands-On Art Project- sketch a charcoal portrait from live models as they emulate poses found in Rockwell’s illustrations; Curator Talk by Catherine Morris on Lorna Simpson: Gathered; Curator Talk by Ron Schick on Norman Rockwell: Behind the Camera; Dance Party with DJ duo, AndrewAndrew, who use their iPads to spin a zigzag history of Pop; Young Voices Talk by Student Guides on Norman Rockwell: Behind the Camera; Performance by the Upright Citizens Brigade and The Brothers Hines as they present a series of improvisational skits based on visitors’ suggestions; and Late Night in the Galleries- the galleries are all open until 11pm.

Please note that due to limited capacities, most are 25 seats per program, some Target First Saturday programs require tickets. Ticket lines often form 30 minutes before ticket distribution at the Visitor Center located in the Rubin Lobby. Members may pick up tickets from the Membership Desk beginning at 2 p.m. while supplies last. Programs subject to change without notice.
