Maybe you missed it. Maybe you didn’t realize it was a video. Google fans ARE used to seeing clever illustrations on their go-to search page.

Well, on Friday, for the first time ever, Google’s home-page doodle box featured a 2-minute video tribute to the silent-screen star, Charlie Chaplin.

What thrilled us (Brooklyn Cupcake) was that the storyline follows Chaplin tries to sweet-talk a cupcake from a vendor, takes over the cupcake stand, jacks up the price, sells a cupcake to the cop, and buys a cupcake himself before skipping off into the sunset! You know cupcakes are trending when the creative force we all admire, Google, features them in their first ever doodle box video clip!
