Cupcake liners are awesome, little, usually overlooked tools for a variety of uses. Here are a few clever ways to repurpose them:

1. Drip Catcher

Before serving that Popsicle, slip the stick through a foil cupcake liner.

2. Multi-color Crayons

Fill foil cupcake liners about two-thirds full with unwrapped crayon stubs, place in a muffin tin, and bake at 275° F until melted (about 10 minutes). Then freeze for cool crayons with zigzag edges.

3. Light Embellishments

Find a string of mini-lights, poke each pointy bulb through a cupcake liner. Use them to decorate indoors and outdoors.

4. Votive Holders

Use foil cupcake liners to hold tea lights: No cleaning up the dripped wax. Simply toss the liner when the wick is snuffed.

5. Arts and Crafts Projects

Wrapping gifts and jars; creating garland, pom-poms, all kinds of decorations.
