Bormioli Rocco is hosting another Bake Sale on Saturday, June 13th at EATALY in support of Cookies for Kids’ Cancer! Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to funding childhood cancer research, was founded by a mother determined to help increase her young son’s odds in his fight against cancer. Her idea to bake and sell cookies during the holidays turned out to be a larger-than-life event and huge success. Realizing people wanted to get involved, she began the organization to let people know how.
It might come as a surprise that childhood cancer is the #1 disease killer of children in the U.S. Two-thirds of children who do survive will develop long-term side effects, including secondary cancers and organ failure…a result of the very treatments that once “cured” them. This is why it is critical to find safer, more effective treatments. And it’s why Bormioli Rocco joined the fight.
Bormioli Rocco has been a corporate sponsor of Cookies for Kids’ Cancer for two consecutive years. In their third year of support, they decided to get involved on the grassroots level and hosted a bake sale back in September that went incredibly well. They raised almost $4,000 for childhood cancer research!
Their goal this time around is to raise $10,000. They hope you will “Be a Good Cookie” and join in the fight against childhood cancer by donating baked goods that they can sell at their Bake Sale. Every cookie, cupcake, macaroon, cannoli and more will help them reach their goal. Your tax-deductible donation would be a tremendous step in their mission to change the statistics for the 40,000 children actively battling cancer in the US right now. With your support, they would be happy to spread the word about your involvement with a special thank-you on social media and by including your bakery logo on our participating bakeries poster and flyers at the event.
Every dollar they raise at their bake sale makes a difference. Since 2008, Cookies for Kids’ Cancer’s efforts have brought 9 promising new treatments to clinical trial, where they’re available to children fighting cancer today.
Brooklyn Cupcake is proud to donate cupcakes to help our little fighters!
